Willemstad – On Friday March 17th, the Curaçao Investment & Export Promotion Agency (CINEX) in the company of stakeholders celebrated the official opening of the Curaçao shared office space in Miami, Florida. It is a co-sharing concept, favorable for local businesses in that all costs such as rent utilities and management of the office space are divided among the renters. This minimizes the monthly charges drastically and makes the entry into the North American market more feasible for the businesses.
Miami’s strategic location in the United States has made this vibrant city a well-known business hub. Its daily connections to the worlds’ largest markets make it possible to host various large companies, multinationals and entrepreneurs seeking to expand their businesses internationally. This facilitates doing business with other cities in the US, neighboring countries, Europe and Asia.
The shared office space is an initiative of CINEX with the main goal to jointly promote Curaçao as a prominent destination for foreign direct investments and also to assist the local (Curaçao) businesses with the development of their products and services internationally. There are 9 offices available for rent and 7 are already taken by local businesses and organizations. There is also the possibility to rent out an office space for a day.
Amongst the guests at the opening were Minister Plenipotentiary of Curaçao at Washington D.C., Mr. Xavier Prens; General Consul for the Dutch Kingdom in Miami, Mrs. Nathalie Olijslager-Jaarsma; Director of the Foreign Economic Cooperation Division of the Ministry of Economic Development of Curaçao, Ms. Zulaika Mook and representatives of the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB), HB Management, Curaçao Air Terminal Services (CATS); Chairman of the Board of (CINEX), Mr. Luis Santine and CINEX Executive director, Mr. Ramon Koffijberg.
